The TT-4 Flexi with Power Controller has been designed with the help of the Medical Engineering Resources Unit and Occupation Therapists working with clients with a range of disability, mobility and sight conditions.
The TT-4 Controller is an innovative switch that provides a convenient and safe way of operating lights, electrical appliances and devices in the home and in other places such as hospitals, rehabilitation units and care homes.
The Controller uses Passive Infrared technology, which will only activate on moving body heat passing over the sensor. The switch will conveniently respond to any part of the body – and even small movements of a finger – making it a boon to people with any sort of dexterity, mobility or visual impairment.

The flexi arm sensor is clamped to any suitable flat surface and the sensor head adjusted to a comfortable position for the operator. The sensor is taken to where the operator can work the switch. A movement by a part of the body over the sensor will switch the appliance on. A second sweep will switch it off. The sensor will respond to small movement of the body into its sensitivity area. Also because the switch is sensitive in a limited 5 degrees range the switch is unlikely to be accidentally switched off. There is also a delay timer incorporated into the unit which will turn the appliance off after a set time. The timer can be set from 20 seconds to 45 minutes.
The TT-4 will operate appliances and devices of up to 8amps and is supplied with a wired-in 13amp socket so the switch is ready to go as soon as it is set up. In addition there are sockets provided for electronic interfaces to activate a wide range of external electronic systems. Any two combinations of TT-2 or TT Flex units may be plugged into the Power Controller.
